The number of members in the association and the number of workers that can be employed at the same time is determined by the level of the association headquarters. Increasing the level requires donations from many of the association members.

An association can declare other associations to be friendly or rival (or neutral). This will affect the waiting time you experience when visiting industries where the other association holds an investment majority. For friendly associations, you waiting time will be reduced by 25%, while it will be increased by 25% for rival associations.
Bonus Collecting
Members of an association can help eachother by collecting building bonuses (i.e. Hotel, Restaurant, Shopping centre) in eachother's train stations. When you do this, you will now and then be rewarded with a free lottery ticket. This reward is given at irregular intervals, with an estimated probability of 0.5-1% for each collected bonus.
Workers
The members of an association can buy a worker by common bidding at an auction.
